Okay, haven’t blogged in fucking time.
Well, there goes my no swears in blogging in the first sentence.
Anyway, I really haven’t blogged in time because I actually forgot this existed for the last god knows how long. Another reason being, that I haven’t really had anything interesting to ramble on about all the time. I’ve been stuck at home, for ages because of this stupid illness and I’ve been bored out of my damn mind. Obviously I have been doing some stuff, but I’m not going to mention alot of things because most of it is just crap.I recently got more 360 games and have a temporary connection to Xbox live through my computer (finally) but I lack the decent games to go online with at the current time. Two new games I bought and still haven’t completed even though I’ve had them for about 2 maybe 3 weeks is Mass Effect and Saints Row 2. Now usually I would have probably finished them by now and have a handful of achievements, but these are games that actually get tedious at times.
Such as for instance, Saints Row 2. I hardly have any problems with the whole game apart from one thing. You need to gain respect to start missions. Who the FUCK came up with that idea? I don’t want to have to look around the WHOLE of Stilwater, to find some gang members to punch, shoot, stab or otherwise, disembowel to actually gain any decent amount of respect to play a fucking mission! Well, theres either that, or I can drive around like a fucking lunatic on the wrong side of the road, dodging cars, for stupidly little respect. Apart from that though, Saints Row 2 is pretty much GTA, not as big, but it is still as fun as.
Now Mass Effect, I’ve got a little list of things I can nit-pick about this. Although Mass Effect is a great game, no doubt, there are obviously things that piss me off about it. For instance, I know there is an auto-save feature in it, and it saves on checkpoints, but these checkpoints might as well not exist by how many times I have died and get teleported to half an hour ago. Yeah, I know I could save the game manually, but I’m just like every other gamer who forgets to because I’m too intrested in what happens next. Seriously off-putting when you get to an interesting bit, get killed, teleport to 30 minutes ago, and have to do the same shit again. As soon as that happens, I just switch the console off straight away, cause I can’t be bothered with that. Another thing that puts me off with Mass Effect is the fact that theres so little going on when you’re going from one place to another. Theres too much dialog and not enough shooting at some points. My mum walked in my room as I was playing this, and she asked if it was a fucking film because of how long some dialog was going for. I mean honestly, the game might as well be an interactive movie at most points. I know its supposed to be a open game where exploration is rewarded, but come on, this is hardly fucking Oblivion or Fallout 3.
Blah. Enough of my ramblings on the games. Infact, I’ve kind of ran out of things to talk about already… Anyway, have a good evening. =]
